Friendly staff, comfortable beds, bedroom decoration perhaps a little tired, wonderful meals
On the outskirts of Ipswich, the hotel is easy to access from A14 and nearby bus stops make it easy to get into the town centre without the worry of driving. It would also be convenient for visiting attractions in the area. Very friendly welcome. Although there is no lounge and only a small bar, the grounds are large so if the weather is good one could sit outside. We were there for only one night but the evening meal was a delight - the quality of the food and the way in which it was cooked and presented was first class.

Hot rooms but good food
Bedroom small, hot and stuffy. Bathroom very small.
But dinner was good and good value for couples and breakfast was excellent.

Lovely charactor hotel - better than expected
My only negative was the shower - small thing I know but next time we will ask for the only room with a proper shower in. The one over the bath was just not good enough and would definitely put us off staying there again even though the rest of the experience was super.

Nice hotel for business
This was a pleasant clean hotel, fit for purpose when visIting the area on business. It was a shame there was not a suitable bar area where you could have a drink or two and relax. The bar seemed very much there to provide a drink over dinner, not as an area to socialise.

I loved the central location. Stayed with my 18yr old son. Very quiet although so near to Ipswich center. Staff fantastic, accommodation immaculate, would very much recommend.

One Night
Hotel set in very nice grounds with plenty of space for walking. Room on ground floor next to reception but even so very quiet. Restaurant service slow - 2 hours for dinner. Steak not as ordered but offer to replace declined as service was so slow.. Chef made personal apology together with offer of complimentary meal. Otherwise food at evening meal was very good. Morning call did not materialise: recompensed with complimentary breakfast. Breakfast service and food good. Overall, a willingness to make sure stay was what is to be expected of Best Western and to make up for shortcomings..

Room was tastefully furnished and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, and bedlinen of a good quality. Lighting good enough to read after dark, and very good television reception.A quiet stay, no traffic noise at all, and pleasant gardens. Very generous provision of tea/coffee making facilities. Impressed that smoked haddock was on offer as part of a continental breakfast! Breakfast more than adequate - a good choice, and excellent waiter service. Only downside was that the receptionist on arrival had not noted that we had paid for breakfast the previous evening, but this was quickly righted by the very friendly morning receptionist. An excellent stay, would repeat visit.

My Review (what else would I call it...?)
The room was perfectly clean and well presented, but small and cramped. Really not worth the price.
I'd certainly stay here again if the price was better, otherwise not.
