Home from Home

The Old Post Office Guest House is excellent value for money and the details advertised do not fully justify this superb guest house.

We were warmly welcomed by Jackie the landlady who put us at our ease straight away. The room she prepared for us was very clean and the en suite was more than adequate. We had no problems with the facilities such as TV and WiFi and the car parking on the graveled forecourt was very convenient. The cream on the cake was the continental breakfast; it should be re-classified as a 'Super Continental Breakfast' due to the wide selection of fresh fruit cereals yogurts. We shall certainly want stay here again the next time we are travelling through Wiltshire.

First Overnight Business Stay- Great experience all round

Excellent and recommended.

Jackie, the host is a lovely lady who is extremely friendly and helpful. Small village location , very close to South Marston Business Park.. Room was everything I needed and free wifi. Beautifully cooked breakfast . Prepare to be greeted by the friend you have not yet met. An excellent antidote to faceless corporate hotel stays. Thanks Jackie.

Greeted like old friends

Our host was so wonderfully enthusiastic.

We arrived late but she was very accommodating and friendly at all times. The rooms are good and her breakfast is fab. Absolutely every type of breakfast on offer, including gluten free options. We stayed for just the night and left smiling.

What a welcome!

I was greeted at the door like a long lost friend.

My stay was wonderful. The breakfast was so good I had to take a photo of it before I ate. Nice to meet a lady who obviously loves her work, and making people happy. Opera fans might even get a burst of song if they're lucky.

Last minute booking

The welcome was like no other we have experienced other than when staying with family.

I would find it hard to fault a single thing. What a wonderful place to stay and an equally wonderful breakfast in the morning.

Would have no hesitation in returning. You will not find a better guest house anywhere!

Warmest of welcomes, fantastic bed, great, locally sourced breakfast

Impossible to fault the service received.

Really friendly welcome - but not intrusive in any way. Very conveniently located and easy to find. Only discovered this little gem because all the hotel chains I usually opt for had no vacancies. In this case every cloud has a golden lining......
