100% would recommend it to a friend
We stayed for one night when visiting Bath University for their 'open day'.
The rooms were well appointed, very clean & and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was very good. The only downside was Cloisters Restaurant. Even the table d'hote menu was overpriced and the food was mediocre rather than gourmet. Overall, we would stay there again, but we would pass on an evening meal in Cloisters.
Lovely hotel and great breakfast
The hotel was originally a Georgian home that has been added on with modern rooms.
Our room was really large and modern and the bathroom was great. Lovely, quiet hotel with extremely comfortable beds. Management was really friendly and helpful. Best of all, the breakfast that was included with our room included full English, Continental and you could order from the menu. It was bountiful, fresh and delicious. We were very pleased. The hotel is 2 miles outside of Bath centre, and buses are the easiest and cheapest way to go. Taxis were expensive and a pain, until we found that we could take a bus easily from the bottom of the drive to Central stops in Bath.
Beautifully located within its own grounds with excellent service.
Very comfortable and spacious room. Great attention to detail and very attentive staff. Highly recommended. We wish we had organised ourselves and pre booked dinner as they were full on the day. Overall a fantastic experience.
Staff were very helpful and attentive.
Room spotlessly clean. Breakfast delicious. I've never slept in such a comfortable bed in a hotel. Bit of a niggle that the room was on the pokey side, not much room to move around and I am small. Given the high end price I had expected something a bit bigger.
I asked for a pretty room due to the occasion for the visit - we certainly had that.
Huge room with sofa, views of Bath & the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. The room was cleaned by a wonderful lady on sat day who was polite, efficient & had incredibly high standards.
The food was outstanding particularly at Cloisters. The service & food was outstanding - great Value got money.
It would be worth getting more staff on shift to serve breakfast as they were incredibly busy and at times muddled. Maybe increase staff for peak breakfast period. However, the food was still great.
Rather sad we had only one night at this hotel.
Excellent facilities throughout, very helpful staff, and thoughtful touches in the room. A bonus was having proper milk for our early morning tea--not the usual revolting Long Life cartons. A very fine experience in a beautiful city.
A beautiful hotel with stylish comfortable rooms and staff thet couldn't have done more for you
Good choice for a country escape
Relaxing time, lovely rooms and nice staff
We enjoyed our stay at Bailbrook - the rooms were really comfortable and had everything we could want.
We did have a problem with the service in the bar (meals) but the manager sorted everything out very quickly and helpfully. My only disappointment was that despite the wonderful buildings and grounds there was no feeling of history - the decor, pictures etc gave no feel or information about the house. Didn't want to be staying in an art gallery or museum but would have liked some reminders of the past.
Amazing customer service
We had a great time at Bailbrook.
All of the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. We would love to stay here again in the future.
