Great for a business stop over

I needed a room for the night to stop in for work commitments.

This place looked as though it fitted the bill as it was close to where I needed to be in the morning and had a desk and parking.

Having had some less than agreeable descriptions on laterooms before I was more than pleasantly surprised to get into my room.

It was clean, comfortable bed and had as space for me to work.

The food was fantastic at both dinner and breakfast. To top it all off the room was under budget. which will have got me brownie points back at HQ!!

Average accommodation

I called ahead as I would be arriving late, due 9pm, it was made clear to me that no food service will have finished by that time.

On arrival the guy on reception was in a rush and very quickly told me the basics and pointed me to my room. Room 6 was very small and the bed was uncomfortable, poor sheeting. I was looking forward to the breakfast, but cold toast and a burnt sausage wasn't a great start, having heard someone else being offered two of everything compared on my one. I wont be returning.

Cracking place

Spectacularly good accommodation, deceptively large hotel, completely unexpected.

Continental breakfast was great, filter coffee delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended

Great little hotel

Good place to stay, room clean and tidy, plenty of tea and coffee stuff in the room, unlike some chains.

Nice power shower, comfy bed. Food was very very good in the evening and breakfast was good value for money, again unlike some chains. Would stay again, if in the area. Parking to the rear of the building, a little difficult to find, but free which is good for a small town centre.

The hotel is in the centre of town and very close to the city amenities.

Friendly staff, shame about the bed

Room 6 - My only negative comment would be the bed.

It was very hard and wasn't for us. It was also noisy at night being in the town centre and needing the window open due to the hot weather. Pleased to have a room with a bath - the website said just a shower. Watch your head on the low ceiling beams.
