About the hotel
The BEST WESTERN Oaks Hotel & Leisure Club was once the private home of a wealthy local merchant and has been sympathetically restored preserving the grand feel of a bygone era. The lounge and reception area is dominated by a 25 foot high stained glass window which tells the story of Abraham Althams life and work in the Burnley area. Both the restaurant and bar are in the 'old house' with grand ornate ceilings and floor to ceiling windows creating instant theatre.
The hotel is set in mature grounds with views of Pendle Hill from the terrace.

Lovely hotel with lots of character
Hotel was lovely, clean and the staff were very helpful.
Only downside was there was no lift which I didn't realise until I got there with my pram. The kitchen staff were very helpful, carrying the pram up with me.
Myself and a friend decided to stay here whilst ocer in burnley.
What we found was not a touch of luxury. We eventually found our room with little directions given. We were greeted with damp in the corner of the room and around the window. The lamp about one of the beds was partly hanging off and the carpet not fitted properly and had stains in it. The bathroon had a shower above the bath and the glass panel to keep the water spray from going everywhere didnt work properly as it soaked the floor. On walking around the hotel there were patches of threadbare carpet, damp and a data rail that hadnt been cleaned in some time. Most concerning was the emegency exit outside as the staircase was covered in rust and flaking paint and at the bottom was blocked by debris and a lifting trolley.
