delightful staff, clean, great value

I was warmly welcomed at reception.

Every member of staff who helped me with anything did so with a smile on their face and were very welcoming. Room and ensuite immaculately clean and the bed was lovely and big.

Good and bad points but not a bad stay overall

We arrived dead on 2pm for check-in however our room was not ready and we had to head down the road for a drink for an hour while we waited (the receptionist mentioned there'd had been some early check-ins and she was swapping rooms around, our room had an extra bed so maybe our room had been given to someone else). When we did finally check-in our room smelled strongly of smoke and the next day we found out that our room key hadn't been activated for the whole duration of our stay so had to get reception to sort it out.

The room itself was ok, nothing special, tv remote had seen better and had the back missing, channels not tuned in properly, shower temp varied a lot but beds were comfortable and the room itself tidy. Hilariously we were given a map of the area with sights marked on it...but the numbers and descriptions had been cut off making it fairly useless. Breakfast was suprisingly good given the above and the staff and service great, Ann-Marie was lovely and was glad to have a quick chat about the city and sights.

Overall I'd stay again if on a budget city break but would hesitate to recommend to friends if they're looking for a high quality stay in Dublin.
