Our stay

Room was very basic, stuffy and no air.

Beds not able to sleep on as full of broken springs, slept on the floor, bedding was cheap and thin. Didn't even try to use the shower/ bath as didn't feel clean. Thankfully we were room only and didn't have to endure Breakfast. We would have left in the middle of the night if it wasn't for our 4 year old. On a Positive the Pool and Spa area was quite Decent, even though it is in the basement. It really is a shame as the location is really good, but the Hotel is just not for us.

£50 In their bank for 3 day

This is a nice hotel I have stayed there several times it is continent.btu this time I was asked to leave £50 deposit then was told I would not get the money back in my account for several days.

They are making money form their guest by charging £2 with credit cared or £50 deposit which stays in their bank for several days and is not released. This seems to be across several hotel chains and seems to be not quite right. Just put the money on the room and be upfront.
