This grade 2 building is in need of a lot of money spending on it.
The roof was being repaired when we visited. The room was basic but spotlessly clean. There is no getting away from the fact that the place is run down. There was no real ale as they don't have the trade. The manager was very accommodating and along with his partner are doing their best but without money they are fighting a losing battle. The place could be spectacular it has so much potential. We only wanted somewhere to lay our heads for the night so this was perfect, but if you wanted a romantic getaway with candles over a table in a quiet corner of a hotel, this is not for you.
