"If you're looking for a generic, clinical, chain type experience don't come here. The Royal Oak is quirky, a little eccentric, perhaps a bit..."

2 Day Stay
It is an old building, but something could be done about the creaking floorboards which wake you up every time other people go to their rooms along the corridor.
Nice decor, nice room, dated bathroom, no shower. Plentiful Breakfast, but the eggs were old. You can tell this by how much the white spreads and has no definition.
The not so Royal Oak
Very basic accomodation.
Stayed for 2 nights but room not cleaned or bed made after night 1. Food was adequate. Unable to put purchases to your room number. Generally ok but not good enough for a repeat visit
