Viner House is a Grade 2 Listed house 5 mins walk from Stroud town centre. Garden, Parking. Large rooms, triple ensuite, double and single room available.
Welcome to our family house in a lovely lively town. Our home is welcoming and friendly. Sorry but the house is not suitable for people with mobility problems. The rooms do not have t. v. But have free wi-fi. SPECIAL . One person stay 3 nights and receive a free bottle of wine. 2 people, stay 2 nights receive a free bottle of wine. £5 cash refund per booking if guests bring their own towel. Please note bookings made less than 24 hours before arrival time must speak with the owners prior to confirmation of booking. These offers are only available to phone bookings. NO SMOKING IN THE WHOLE HOUSE. PERSONS DOING SO WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE WITH NO REFUND. Stroud is a delightful place to visit with many activities and attractions within close proximity. The month of May sees Open Studios and the Select International textile festival. We have an include Award winning weekly farmers market, superb restaurants, annual textile, food, walking, music and art festivals. 7 mins walk from train station, Easy access to countryside. Cheltenham, Swindon and Gloucester are easy train journeys from Stroud. Spa days can be arranged for 30 pounds per day. The award-winning Farmers’ Market is weekly (Saturday) and is one of the best in the country. This is a place that repays investigation, especially for the quality and variety of artists at work in the area – you could also choose to take part in one of the many traditional workshops! Stroud is encircled by five sweeping valleys opening out to the River Severn and made famous by Laurie Lee’s novel “Cider with Rosie”, the scenery is dramatic around Stroud. It is a great meeting place, with direct links to London, making it a Bohemian/café/gallery/ bookshop sort of place. Jasper Conran described the town as ‘the Covent Garden of the Cotswolds’.
