About the hotel
Manor Farm, in the village of Grittleton, offers traditional farmhouse bed & breakfast accommodation close to Chippenham. Explore lively market towns, rolling open scenery, stately homes and magnificent gardens plus experiencing the bustling city culture of Swindon and Salisbury. There are attractions galore - including iconic Stonehenge, and Avebury.
Famous sites such Salisbury Cathedral, Longleat, Malmesbury, Bath, Cotswolds, Wiltshire's White Horses, Stourhead, and the Kennet & Avon Canal combine with lesser known gems such as Lacock and STEAM. Whether it's indoors or outdoors, in front of a roaring fire, walking or cycling, Wiltshire is waiting to welcome you, . again, and again. Chippenham is the largest town in North Wiltshire. A little over an hour's journey from central London or Heathrow airport, it offers an ideal centre for relaxation in rural Wiltshire. Chippenham’s name originated in Saxon times meaning ‘River Meadow’. Its position in a crook of the River Avon has given it, through the centuries, a strategic position and power for its cloth mills. Today the river provides a peaceful backdrop to walking and cycling routes

Would highly recommend this charming Farmhouse.
We received a lovely warm welcome from Katherine and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beds were very comfortable. Great choice for breakfast. Village pub a few minutes walk away where they serve delicious food. As this is a working farm it can get a bit muddy in the parking area, therefore you will be asked to remove shoes/boots at the entrance to the farmhouse. Take slippers or indoor shoes. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Katherine.
It's a working farm!
I only stayed for one night but was made to feel really welcome by everyone that I met.
There was no signal to enable me to contact home to say I had arrived safely, so I was offered the landline, I didn't have to ask. I had a mound of fabulous scrambled egg for breakfast, accompanied by two playful dogs who crept in. I had read previous comments before booking and you have to accept this is a working farm, so friendly animals, muddy farmyards and family come as part of the deal. I loved it. The bed was one one of the most comfortable I have slept in and the welcoming atmosphere superb.
