dont know if it was more like a jail cell or a funeral parlour
bleak depressing sort of place with a strange smell in the room and under bed.
room also had a sterile clinical feel with scruffy furniture. toilet was for the disabled with cracked tiles.
Attention to detail
I often feel when staying in hotels that if the owners were to spend one night in each of the rooms they would be able to pick up on things that 'The Hotel Inspector' would have noticed.
e,g, the wires that were trailing from the TV looked ugly, the lopsided look of the reading lamp in the lounge section and the poor quality of one of the hand towels (holes were evident). This was a great shame as otherwise it was an excellent place to stay with a very good pub opposite and places for breakfast just down the road
