About the hotel

Gloucester House is believed to have been built in 1790 as a rather grand residence overlooking Weymouth Seafront and becoming a hotel as late as the 1960's. Now a family run Guest House, it is also a grade two listed building which forms part of the Esplanade; Weymouth's superb sweeping seafront with spectacular uninterrupted views of the bay.

Excellent location and friendly atmosphere

Second time we have stayed in about a month.

We came down by train each time - very handy for the station. Hosts are very nice - husband and wife team with lovely staff. Accommodation is fine and convenience for town , beach etc is great. Geoff - ex helicopter pilot cooked breakfast and the atmosphere in the breakfast room was always good - and well cooked to order. Rooms were fine - we were not paying for a four poster bed - we were out and about the whole time - Loved Weymouth, liked the friendliness of the hotel and would gladly return.
