Friendly with character
Excellent position and facilities for the price, staff very friendly and helpful.
View fantastic and lovely setting for garden and conservatory. Food good but not exactly generous e.g. 3 fish was mainly batter, but it was edible and adequate. Hotel beginning to look a bit sad, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment just added a bit of character and homeliness - thoroughly enjoyed my stay, felt relaxed and welcome and we are planning to return. Felt very at home and at ease there, would even be happy to go there for a break on my own. Personally loved the wildlife on the ledges and didn't have a problem with the noise.
Grand Hotel Swanage
Nice quiet hotel and lovely view of Swanage Bay .
hotel was very warm and had to keep turning the heating off in the room and opening windows to cool it down . not as good when it was a best western hotel but American owned . say no more . £20 for a bottle of wine . laughable . sainsburys in wareham . got four bottles for the same amount of money . always go bed and breakfast . much cheaper to eat out and nicer food round the area . the restaurant is far to expensive !
