A very high quality hotel as you would be awaiting considering the photos.
The personnel is welcoming and professional, and the rooms are even more beautiful and charming that what the photos show. Only downside: the hotel is located on an avenue with high traffic and activity in the night. Mind the noise !
I recently went to Paris for 4 days with my girlfriend and bought us a room at Tryp Paris Hotel while we were there.
Here's a full review from my experience of staying at this hotel. LOCATION:
I was a little skeptical about staying here as I'd never been to Paris before and wasn't familiar with the area of this hotel. It's set near the Grands Boulevards metro station which makes easy access around the city itself but because it's so close to the Louvre we hardly used the metro at all. You can easily walk to the Museums from the hotel. There are some really lovely michelin star restaurants around the area but if you're looking for something cheaper, there are some awesome little restaurants on the Grands Boulevards road itself. We ate at the pizza restaurant a few doors down and the quality of food was delectable considering the cost. (€38 for two starters, main courses and a bottle of red wine, not bad!)
I have to say this would have been impeccable had I been able to understand one of the ladies on the reception. This was partially my fault as I'm not fluent in French although she did get very stressed rather quickly. All of the staff are very friendly and make time to greet every individual walking through the door (Bon'Jour!). The reception area is spacious and the staff were kind enough to provide us with a map and highlight their recommendations, which I thought was very generous and added to the service. The only thing that lets the ground floor down would be the really small elevator. Seriously, if you have luggage you're better putting one person into the lift whole the other takes the stairs as it's almost impossible to get two people in there. Depending on how large you are of course... FOOD
We didn't actually take out the Bed and Breakfast option so I can't really comment on food
The rooms were great. They're very clean and the bathrooms are replenished with products by the maids every day. They're not huge mind, they're plentiful for two people and the beds are quite big (wink wink).
Having read the reviews myself before staying here people were moaning about the heat of the room. Seriously, just open a window, it's not that bad. Don't worry about potential thiefs coming in through the window either. Unless you believe in spiderman, in which case worry about spiderman coming in through the window. An average man would have to defy gravity to come in through them. I hope this covers everything. If you're looking for a fantastic, budget getaway with you and your partner/wife/husband, I can highly recommend this place.
