A little bit of English Heaven
A country house hotel that makes you feel as if you are a guest at a country house party. The owner is a wonderful lady with a great personality. The hotel is a small stately home with family portraits on the wall. A lovely place with super staff and great atmosphere.

Fantastic little gem
Having booked at the last minute, I will definitely come back here when on business in the Midlands. What a fantastic historic house in the middle of nowhere - superb service, great country house feel, fabulous breakfast and staff willing to go the extra mile for customers. Can't wait to see it when the moat has re-opened. Will definitely be back!

I had a really enjoyable stay at Langar Hall recently, with my 20-year-old daughter. The hotel has the feel of a wonderful, comfortable country house, with beautiful grounds, in a very pretty setting. The room was very individual, immaculate, and had a very relaxed feel - the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and go out of their way to make you feel at home and well looked after. The food is wonderful - our dinner was memorable! I would never stay anywhere else in Nottingham!

I can't leave a review, because despite Late Rooms phoning Langar Hall for this reservation, they phoned me a couple of months later to say that they hadn't got room for us.

Room
Nursery room should be reclassified as a single as rip there is no wardrobe and as it name implies is too small for a couple .
Too many flies around the dining room for our liking.
Quality of sevice and food superb however.
Also staff happy to swap for a bigger room when we requested.

Oasis of Calm
Langar Hall is almost a National Treasure. They are helpful, discreet and the whole experience from arriving to sadly departing is wonderful.
Ingrid, the owner, is a delight to talk with and gave me some great book recommendations.
The restaurant food was, as ever, delicious and beautifully presented

My husband and I were invited to a 60th Birthday luncheon party at Langar Hall. So we decided to make it a treat and stay the night Bed and Breakfast. The party was excellent, fine food, excellent waitress service, all in the beautiful surroundings and location of Langar Hall. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable. But we just found the breakfast disappointing and quite revolting. Especially for what we had paid, and we had had a deal with Late rooms, so full payment we would have been more disappointed. There was an option to pay £5.00 extra for a different menu, of kippers, etc. Surely this is not necessary. What a shame, it really took the shine off a great stay. Hope the hotel can achieve better in the future.
