HI we stayed at this hotel and was shocked at the room as this room was not in the pictures when we booked it.
This room was on the third floor which is the loft conversion where it slopes on one side of the room and banged my head on it 2 times. The mattress had to be turned over so not to feel the springs and their was no head board .The cold water was too warm to be drunk and the toilet paper is like the tracing paper you used to get at school years ago also no toilet brush to clean up . The third floor needs decorating compared to the rest of the hotel which is very elegant The third floor is nothing like the pictures in advert be aware!!!. just in case you get this floor, it looked more like a b&b room 353 .
lovely old hotel
great venue, quite difficult to find and best entered from the main gates
Hotel needs modernising
Good location for city centre but bedrooms are dated, especially the bathrooms.
The cold tap came off in my hand and cut my thumb and the shower leaked.
Super hotel cannot believe the price they charge.Nice touch in free car parking and only a£5.00 taxi fare into the centre.the room was quite hot and we couldn't manage to turn the radiator off,the b/fast at £6.00 was a really great deal.Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
the staff were so helpful food good value
Spacious room, clean and comfortable
2 miles away from city centre, open and quite place friendly service
The rooms were clean and tidy only a minor note the soap dish in the bathroom was loose, staff friendly and food good.
Grounds and gardens are far more impressive than the interior
Staff are lovely, very friendly and welcoming.
However, the rooms are unloved, dated and very poor quality. Both of the bath taps were broken, the shower was either cold or scalding hot, most of the lights in the room didn't work, smelt mouldy and when stood in the bath to take a shower, the bath dipped. Never staying there again. SO not recommended.
