Initial impressions were good - the hotel is surrounded by parkland and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Both on arrival and in breakfast they helped us with any problems, and we were booked a taxi promptly and professionally. The leisure facilities are fairly good, and give you time to relax. However, the old accommodation is getting a little tired. There are weeds in all the gutters and edging, and our bathroom was a little dirty. Also the housekeeping staff seemed confused - new towels, mugs etc were left, but the old ones were not taken away.

Beautiful setting for conferences
This hotel is set in lovely grounds, and the public areas are really nice.
I have eaten in the restaurant on several occasions and the food is good. This is the first time I have stayed, and the room I had in the Garden block was OK, but quite noisy and too light at night. The corridor lights seem to stay on full at night, which meant a lot of light under the door sill. So, I would probably not choose to stay here again, unless I was in another part of the hotel, but I will continue to use the conference facilities as they are excellent.
Really friendly, helpful and great value for money.
Modern and smart
Small room but very clean, modern and smart and had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
Only here for a few hours to sleep but check-in at 11 pm not a problem and check out at 8 am easy enough. Hotel looked like a very nice conference centre.
great spa Hotel
we had one of the rooms in the adjacent building with a view of the garden.
Beautiful place. My son, six years old, loved the pool. Room and Bathroom very clean. only downside is there was no iron nor hair dryer. I lost my watch in the pool locker and it was return to the spa reception that then handed it back to me. very please with the whole experience
Stayed over in this hotel for one night with my boyfriend.
Hotel staff were lovely and the room was fantastic for the price. Modern, stylish and spacious. Would recommend!
Great value for money!
The stay was pleasant with good service from staff.
The breakfast was of good quality and rooms were in good condition. The only fault I could make was that they wouldn't let us have a late check in. definitely staying again if I am in the area!
Lovely hotel and furnishings, very small room
Very big hotel with numerous conference rooms.
Lovely downstairs, and drink stations really good. Our room however was a bit disappointing considering it was advertised as an executive room. It was tiny and in the roof space so there were no windows to look out of which felt a bit claustrophobic. The bathroom was lovely however although there was no bath.
The main building here is lovely and I understand that the main focus is on corporate events, weddings etc.
Unfortunately, the block we stayed in was a tired, soulless building with about as much loveliness as a student hall of residence. Our room overlooked a sad old tennis court (not, I think, part of the hotel) and felt rather dingy. It was a very windy evening and the whole building shook - and no, this is not an exaggeration. We stayed the night after New Year, so obviously the staff were feeling jaded and this added to the overall feeling of flatness. We had a reduced rate, just as well because the normal rate could not be said to be good value for this experience.
