Good value overnight accommodation

The staff were polite and helpful, and the room was clean.

The accommodation was basic but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast was not included but we paid £6 extra for full "American", i.e. English breakfast. The food was good quality and the coffee was great.

I would definitely stay in Campanile hotels again.

This was Grand National weekend so the room was overpriced, not unexpectedly.

Good service at reception and the breakfast was fine. The room was adequate in every way, but unattractive and in need of some refurbishment. Excellent location.

Birthday weekend stopover

Ideal location for the docks area.

Short walk to shopping centre. Great value for money. No frills but if all you need is a bed and a bathroom then this is perfect.

City Break.

An excellent venue, handy for the city centre only spoilt by the loud invasive music in the bar and huge screens showing Australian rugby that no one was watching.

Surely a quiet section could be made available.

Dangerous and Dilapidated

Room very expensive, being weekend of National.

Net curtain dirty and hanging down, Plug in bathroom didn't fit either bath or basin, shower curtain rail ill fitting. Area between bedroom and reception smelly, strewn with cigarette ends. Not swept at all during the weekend. All very disappointing, especially as charged. My comments earned a refund for cheapest, night. Up in the night noticed light shining around door. Investigated in the mornin and found there was no smoke/fire seal in the door. Hotel did move us, but we should never have been given a room with inadequate fire protection.

Basic hotel

Arrived here for the grand national, stayed two nights, cost £150 per night.

Check in and out were quick, receptions a bit odd just a desk by the bar. Bar looked good. It didn't eat or drink here. Room was away from reception in a separate building, outside were a lot of fag butts and the fencing round the hotel looked like a prison. The room itself was basic, bathroom was ok, had a bath and shower but no plug. Toilet seat was loose. TV was ok, few plugs in the room, beds were comfy and view over the docks was good. City centre is walkable but a good ten to fifteen mins. Had a power cut on the last morning.

Great location and a good breakfast

Great location and friendly staff.

The breakfast was good quality and very good value. The room was a little tired, one of the lights and the bathroom extractor fan didn't work. But the room was clean and reasonable value for a location within easy walking distance of the Albert Dock and city centre.

Spoilt by groups of men keeping the whole floor awake during the night

Too many groups of people that were hell bent on making a noise throughout the night ,we had phone reception at the time and because they did not do enough to stop it we had to get up and do the dirty work ourselves
