Cannot fault the accommodation.
The surrounding estate grounds were very impressive and my wife and I particularly appreciated the walled garden. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food excellent but disappointed at the restricted menu. If we had been staying for longer than two nights we would have difficulty in making a selection but that would not stop us from returning.
Beautiful estate rooms and excellent service all you need for a country break
Thank you for a wonderful break.
Every need or request met with excellent service and always a smile. Happy customer.
An amazing wedding
We were staying following the wedding of close friends.
The staff were all lovely and couldn't be more helpful. The room was spotless but there was no way to dry or straighten my hair next to the mirror. Breakfast was delicious and we spent all morning enjoying the beautiful grounds and the sunshine.
Macdonald Pittodrie House Hotel
We were given a free upgrade from the classic room to the feature room with a great view of the countryside.
I booked at the last minute on business and arrived late evening.
Staff very helpful and a beautiful hotel. I will definitely stay here again.
Not a MacDonald standard hotel
I stayed one night and had planned to work on a project I had to complete.
However, the internet is painfully slow and the phone signal kept fading out. Very very frustrating.
In general terms the hotel trades on its location and gardens. The accommodation itself is rough around the edges and is some way away from being a 'typical' MacDonald standard. I paid £89 room only and left feeling it was too much.
Absolutely beautiful hotel.
impressed by sheer size of room and dinner (the set menu) was top quality with the service first class. Would recommend the Pittodrie House and will definitely stay again.
Room OK, Food OK, Wine Price Ridiculous
After booking in for the night with my wife we stayed the night.
The food offered in the bar was of a reasonable standard and the room was OK.
The price of the wine was just ridiculous though at £11.85 for a large glass, just plain crazy.
Very well managed hotel
A very smooth, friendly and efficiently operated hotel - comfortable, quality provision in an outstandingly beautiful setting.
Food in the restaurant was exceptionally good, especially the signature dishes in the evening meal. Staff could not have been more helpful - taking time to chat and share their own experiences of the surrounding area and with advice on places to visit.
Relaxing if front of the lovely log fires with a glass of wine , very relaxing .
Loved the room , the bed was so comfortable.
