found the hotel with the help of the sat.nav.
The hotel room and staff were great, unfortunately there were two functions on at the same time as our two nights stay,.We were on the third floor but the function was very noisy (ground floor function
room) and no sleep was had until after midnight.

Great value comfort.
I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions as have friends and relatives of mine coming to visit. The accommodation is always immaculately clean and there is a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The decor in the reception and bar is modern and very attractive. This hotel is within walking distance of a lovely Italian restaurant and the prestigious Hotel du Vin where many a celebrity has stayed. Ten minutes walk and you arrive at the delightful Botanic Gardens in the heart of the West End just beside Byres Road with its plethora of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel if you are en route to a holiday abroad flying out of Glasgow International - 15 mins drive to the airport.

Dont judge a book by it's cover
From the outside the Pond Hotel isn't much to look at. However inside is very well decked out clean and pleasant. It is a good location being a few minutes walk from everything. The staff are very good, friendly, helpful and will try to do whatever they can to make your stay a good one.
Breakfast for the money I feel could do with more quality ingredients, the rooms are far too hot for my taste even with the heating off and noise from the Hospital next door(bins being collected) other customers (the doors bang shut, probably for fire regs?)and the function room may be a problem for light sleepers.

Good safe bet but a little out of the way
I haven't eaten here before but there is an excellent Italian restaurant next door that I can recommend. The room is small but comfortable and the showers are excellent! The service by all staff I spoke to is exemplary quick and efficient and very friendly.
