The room itself was nice.
However the bed was lumpy every time I moved you could hear the springs. The bathroom well, the shower very little power, had to let it run for a good while before it was warm. The toilet took forever to refill and you heard the water from the tube tricking in for hours. I ended up refilling it myself at 4am.
Couldn't fault the staff. They were very friendly and helpful
Dial House Hotel Bracknell
Basic friendly accommodation .
Great for the price.
Booked to use as a one night sleep over
It is a basic 3 star hotel with little that is above average.
The room temperature ranged from freezing to roasting. There were a couple of bulbs not working which should have been checked before letting the room out. It served its purpose but not the place to choose for a romantic break or to spend an evening dining at.
Upon arrival I was met by the owner.
He fetches a reservation card and erroneously informs me that I had booked for breakfast. I clearly remember opting out of breakfast. He tells me I must have as the price of a double room plus breakfast is £xx.xx. I explain that I had definitely booked a single and show him a screenshot of my receipt. He apologises profusely and admits it was his mistake. He then helps me with my bags and shows me my room. I was expecting a small single but I have been upgraded to a nice double. The room is cold, as the heating was off but it warms up within an hour of it being turned on. It was quiet and I had a reasonable nights sleep. Before getting ready for my interview the next day. I jump in the shower, it is fine but the pressure drops significantly about 5 minutes in. This is likely a case of someone using the water elsewhere. All in all a good stay with some minor issues.
Dial House Hotel Bracknell
Room very dusty, bed very uncomfortable.
Arrived late left early
We arrived very late, having booked at 9PM.
We were greeted and bags taken to the room. The room was exactly what we needed for a brief stay. Up early and had to leave so no time to check out the breakfast. Would stay again.
could do with refurb.
Stayed here one night to break journey from Liverpool to France.
Nice location, Friendly welcome, food good ( evening meal and breakfast taken) . the room and linen were very clean, warm and a good size, The general décor is a bit worn in places and the bar is small, but for a small establishment they make the effort to make you welcome which more than compensates, the room rate is reasonable for the area, I would stay here again.
Dial House Hotel business stay
Dial House is in an ideal location close to local business parks and in walking distance of a great Indian restaurant and village pub.
There is also a forest nearby where I went for a lovely early morning run. The hotel staff were very courteous and professional at check-in and at breakfast. The room was good and comfortable. However, due to the nature of the building - a large house converted into a hotel, the walls are thin and I found the hotel very noisy during the night. I was woken by the guy snoring in the next room!. If you are a sound sleeper you will enjoy your stay - if you are a light sleeper, I suggest you bring ear plugs.
Cheap And Cheerful.
toilet seat was loose , reported it and they said they would fix it , when we came back later that evening it wasn't fixed.
Rooms smelt a little musty. Lovely view from our back window upstairs onto the garden. Hazard steps along corridors upstairs,no warning on edge of steps , low ceiling beams. ok though , if your 5 ft and under. Got a lend of an Iron which had something stuck to it . Ordered a continental breakfast,( which was very, basic ) ordering toast and getting it, I asked for a croissant too, which lead to the waitress getting the manager involved, it seemed as though they had to pay for it. Anyway I got it on a plate served hot, and it must of been frozen as it definitely wasn't fresh and was pretty tough. The staff were ok. We stayed on a saturday night , and it was very quite. Good enough to stay in for one night if your passing through.
