Quaint But Full Of Character and a Lovely Place To Stay

Stayed here one night.

Hotel was delightful. Lots of work being done to restore this beautiful 16th century building but didn't affect our stay at all, in fact it was great to see the work Chris the owner was doing to keep it going for many more years to come. Our room was superb - it was modern but with a traditional vaulted ceiling and was far bigger than we expected from when we first arrived. Only issue was that due to the building being at staggered heights, one of our windows faced onto the car park at ground level so we had to close the curtains. The service in the bar was excellent as was the food, which was reasonably priced and good quality.

There is lots of parking at the back and it is definitely free so don't let the 'free parking may be available' comment put you off if you are driving. We would definitely recommend it.

A great find

Booked as a stopover en route back from Cornwall.

A warm welcome , really comfortable bed and great food and drink and good company - we intend to come back and use this pub again as a base for Dartmoor

Hidden gem, perfect getaway.

Overnight stay as we were down to watch the British Fireworks competition in Plymouth.

A lovely village setting, a beautiful room, comfy bed and super shower and lots of nice touches. Good breakfast and friendly people, couldn't ask for any more - perfect B&B.
