4AA Assessed Hotel Ratings explained
Burford , Oxfordshire, OX18 4DY
Located just 7 minutes from Burford and 35 from Oxford it’s perfectly positioned for visitors to such attractions as Blenheim Palace, Daylesford Farm and the North Oxfordshire Cotswolds. Nestled in the idyllic village of Swinbrook, a short distance from Burford, this restored 16th Century Inn offers authentic country charm, award-winning cuisine, cosy accommodation and free Wi-Fi and parking.

Perched by the banks of the Windrush River, the Inn has long been a central feature of the local community. Having been carefully restored and modernised, its enchanting ambiance harkens back to a bygone age of cosy log fires, real ales and hearty food.

The 2 AA Rosette awarded restaurant specialises in classic British dishes with a modern twist. They take great pride in utilising fresh, seasonal produce sourced from the surrounding area. They also stock local ales and beers from the Cotswold Brewing Company.

Individually designed and furnished each of the en-suite bedrooms are housed either in the converted Cotswold stone barn or the riverside cottage.

Definitely recommend staying here, lovely setting, GREAT food and service
I had a long journey down to Oxford, the roads were terrible and I was late arriving, no problem though as the lovely staff took my order over the telephone and it was ready for when I got there. The room was lovely, really comfortable and clean. I will definitely be staying here again.

Good food far too expensive
A very good stay village of swinbrook lovely
The food was. Very good BUT to expensive
£24.00 for steak and chips no veg just a tomatoey then. Add 10. %. Service charge not good we went to la Manor ( Raymond Blancs) restaraunt they do not add a service charge
You have to ask for it to removed not good even if. it was a very good steak
The starter very good sweet too good ,
The room tidy could do with a few things sorting blind cord broken. Toilet set tired bed good and comfey over all a good stay
But prices to high for a country pub and inforceing a service charge on you. This needs to be addressed. As service was nothing special just brought to you

Pretty and Peaceful
We stayed here for one night for valentines day in the Orchard Store room.
It is in a little village with only a few houses surrounded by countryside, but not far from Witney and Burford. A good location for visiting local attractions in the cotswolds.
Our room was pleasently decorated and very clean with a comfortable bed.
The evening meal was very nice although the chef only cooks steaks medium rare ( I prefere mine rare) not sure why this is the only choice.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice but the pot of tea was very weak.
