Shame about the drains.
You don't expect a lot when paying about £32 for a hotel room in the middle of a city, but you can hope it will be quiet and not to smell of blocked drains.
Any house or hotel can have a problem from time to time but the fact that the nice receptionist was apparently unaware of it suggests to me that it may not be unusual, which is why I feel that I should warn others. I arrived too late and tired to make a complaint, hoping the smell would pass but it didn't. The extract fan giving the only ventilation worked hard and noisily non-stop, which didn't help. The comfort and facilities were absolutely fine for the price.
You Get What you Pay For
I only paid £39 for the night and wasn't expecting luxury.
The room was decent enough but the mattress was a tad on the thin side so didn't get a great nights sleep
Great spot for a businessman on a budget.
Very friendly welcome. Clean room and free wifi.
Happy as Larry!
The room was very clean and tidy, defnately recommend for a budget hotel that was on a par with other hotels.
The hotel was excellent value for money, great location and very clean.
The hotel was very clean, could not fault it.
There was always someone on reception if you needed them. We got this hotel on sale so was very good value for the money we paid. Great location, right in the middle of Liverpool. Would be great for anyone wanting to be close to the shops, bars and restaurants.
The room was clean the bathroom had all you needed, it was an enjoyable stay
The hotel was very well located.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Room good Would definitely recommend.
Very nice quiet hotel, with access to local tourist establishments, would reccomend to anyone.
We were given a key are to a room at the top of the stairs.
We unlocked the room to be hit with a blast of hot pungent air then saw in the gloom suitcases and an unmade bed. The couple walking up the stairs behind us looked alarmed as they said, " That is our room!"
We quickly returned to reception, a cubby hole down stairs. We were given key card number two and cautiously entered the second room. Unoccupied this time but we opened the wardrobes and looked in the bathroom just in case.
