Rude staff, dirty cold rooms, rough area
Receptionist had the biggest attitude problem I have ever come across.
she would not give me the codes after telling her that she had given me the wrong ones then once wasting 45 mins being spoken to like dirt. she gave us a twin room when we clearly stated we wanted a double out of spite. Further more the area was rough prostitues on the corners pestering us for "business" also there is no parking and no staff on reception to contact to advise you where to park. The rooms are freezing no heating on all night you can imagine how cold it was in an old run down creaky building like that. The t.v didn't work as it kept losing signal and there was no remote. If this wasn't bad enough the sheets on bed were dirty an had stains on them with a dirty throw chucked over the top to disguise this. The fixtures in the room were poorly fitted and most of the stuff in the room didn't work lights, plug sockets etc. It was a truly terrible experience from start to finish the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced in all my life please don't bother wasting your time and money!
Sheil Suites Liverpool
The room, when we eventually got in was fine.
But service was very poor. They didn't text entry codes despite two calls. They left the phone off the hook so we couldn't get through. At the end of our evening out we had to get a taxi to the hotel to get the room codes. They wouldn't pay for a taxi to the suite and had still given us an incorrect code. I had to call them for the 23rd time that night. I was promised an explanatory, apologetic phone call from the manager the following morning - still waiting nearly a week later. For the very poor service I wouldn't recommend the Sheil Suites to anyone.
we have stayed in a few places around Liverpool but this has been the best we have found so would recomend
Stayed at sheil suites a couple of times now
Good value good set uo clean tidy stayed a couple of times now and would certainly use again easy to book easy to use entry codes didn't see anybody but didn't need to all done like clockwork.
It was a comfortable stay here, it was clean and tidy and water tea & coffee was left for us.
We also had use of a kitchen which had a ironing board and iron which was useful.
In our room number 10 the shower was dribbling so needs fixing but in our friends room it was like a power shower, very nice. None of us could connect to the wifi. Only other thing about it is the area, the buildings around us look derelict & all boarded up and the taxi driver told us we were in the red light of Liverpool and not to walk along our road cos we're get picked up lol.
Poor customer service and bad organisation, dont recommend not worth the headache
I was not impressed by the service offered here, when arriving had to ring reception located elswhere to get directions and they confirmed room numbers as we had been sent door codes in advance.
On arrival someone was already in our room. Poor efforts to resolve issue by staff who asked me to give my phone to the other guests so they could speak to them which I found unprofessional. Party was then split up, new room had messy rug, plug socket not working. They took 18 days to reply to my complaints and only offered 20% off a future booking, when u can get a discount without a complaint. Manager did not take time to understand my complaint and said she couldnt guarantee rooms near each other, but issue was poor management. Do not expect to arrive at a room with someone in there. And dont want money off a future booking when first stay wasnt worth what we paid.
Good for the price
the room was very spacious but we discovered that rather than a double bed it was 2 singles held together with one sheet of bedding, which was a pain as we had to keep pushing the beds together as the kept moving apart, though as frustrating as this was for us we found that it did have a nice shower if a little small for me as a tall man, and nice coffee making facilities.
Ihad a very pleasant stay at sheil suites.
Great value for money. Location very close to town centre. Lovely place to stay.
not well situated
Very good but needs attention to detail
This place is a little gem and with a bit of attention to detail could be fabulous.
But it really is good value for money. However they should explain about the door entry system before you book. It was fine for us but elderly travellers might have problems.
Also entry to our room was via stone stairs outside, not suitable for everyone. Room was big, clean and very attractive, but some of the lamps were broken and you could only use the bathroom light if you had the bedroom light on due to the wiring. Bathroom needed hooks and more towel rails but was clean and tidy. Curtain bracket was hanging off the wall in main room. The room is designed like a suite with a dining table and chairs but the kitchen is outside and shared with another room. Kitchen wasn't as clean as the rest of the place and utensils and crockery etc very limited. The fridge was packed with someone else's food. There isn't any parking which is strange as there is plenty of room if they widened the gates...so you have to pull off the road on to the pavement
But the area felt safe and we would stay again...just a shame someone hasn't thought it through from the point of guests ...it could be quite special.
