Good Location
The location of the hotel is very good, but the room is tiny and the housekeeping maids are very, very noisy in the morning. In addition, I must have had the room next to the service entrance as there was a lot of very loud noise very early in the morning.

Overpriced
Hotel appears to have two half's- I think we got the budget half. Carpet in the room wanted throwing away, rest clean but basic. No tea or water in rooms is criminal. Room not ready at 3pm check in. Location good. Didn't eat in the restaurant after paying £20 for breakfast which is better in Asda. If it had been a bargain price I could have swallowed it but as it was my first visit to Amsterdam I would take anything cheaper next time as I think it would just as good.

Great location!
We had a discounted room so were not surprised that the view was of a brick wall! But we were not bothered as out all day. The beds were very comfortable and the room, though compact, was clean, nice bathroom, clean towels every day. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the concierge who was a mine of information. The hairdryer was broken when we arrived, and a new one installed the same day. The only minor gripe were the flimsy plastic water glasses, which split as soon as you touch them! Would definitely stay here again.

The photos on the internet were far superior to the reality of our room. The soap dispenser didn't work well and was empty until our last day. We loved the position of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great Location
Great location on the Amstel river with everything within comfortable walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were welcoming and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel for sight seeing in Amsterdam and would use it again in the future.
