Room and hotel was very dated and needs a upgrade , good only served in the morning no afternoon or evening meals, tv with picture but no sound, not worth the price of the stay.

Amazing

The hotel was just perfect.

It was warm, clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. I stayed over the festive season and there was a snow storm the night before my departure. There were no cabs available to get me to the bus station. The hotel organised for a member of the kitchen staff to take me in the icy conditions. There are not many hotels that offer this kind of service.

Hard to review

Staff are friendly and helpful, and do their best, but this place is really sub-par.

E.g. tiny tiny tv, no desk or work chair (which the staff did their best to fix) broken wardrobe, shabby chipped peeling window frames, curtains too small for windows, noisy aircon on and off every ten minutes outside & below window, very poor wifi, very poor mobile signal, staff can't connect external calls to room. Also, this hotel is utterly unsuitable for anyone with even a mild physical handicap

Tired hotel, obvious penny pinching by owners, lovely staff

Once again a room with really poor wifi, really bad mobile signal, basic (old, tatty broken) furniture, horrible screeching expelair

Once again, staff are cheerful ad helpful (even if they can't transfer calls from outside to room)

If the hotel was as good as its staff, this would be an award-winning place to stay

tired and shabby - but great staff

Front rooms have zero mobile reception, and very poor wifi

All rooms I've stayed in have been very tired - whole hotel is rather shabby - but certainly good enough for the price

Good breakfasts, very kind, helpful staff

Entire hotel is utterly unsuitable for anyone with any mobility problems - no lifts, many stairways with no handrails

Only hotel in Ashby, so probably rests on its laurels

Shabby hotel, excellent staff

Hotel is shabby, rooms are tired, some poorly laid out, appalling quality wifi, some rooms have very poor mobile reception so can't use own mobile broadband

Both rooms had no working shaver point/light

Breakfast doesn't start until 07:00, so difficult to get an early start

On one morning had alter breakfast, quality was good, but even as early as 08:30 no scrambled egg nor mushrooms left

Staff very friendly and helpful
