Funky Apartment

Loved the décor.

Very well appointed apartment and loved all the décor. Everything you need for a pleasant stay is in the apt.

Dissapointing first impressions from the staff

When we areived at the hotel we were ignored by 3 members of staff.

Me and my partner were both stood with our bags which clearly indicated we were checking in. A young man walked past us twice and went into a little room. Finally another member of staff walked over to us and told us to go into the side room where this other young man had earlier gone. He was checking another couple in, this instantly annoyed us both as he had just walked past us twice and ignored us. All he had to do was tell us both where to stand and he would be with us shortly. Once we walked into this room he still did not acknowledge us. Once he had finished checking the other guests in he still continued to ignore the fact we were there. He then went to show them to their room and We expected him to tell us he would be back to check us in. He didnt do this so we continued to wait. He did finally return and there was no "service with a smile" that is for sure. He was rude and abrupt and the first impressions of this hotel stay were awful. There was no warm welcome and all he wanted was the payment and to show us to our room. Considering checking in is the start of your hotel stay it put a downer on the evening. We stay at numerous hotels across the country and this was a break away one evening before leaving for work eary. This is a regular thing we do in order to relax however I was dissapointed from the beginning. The room however was lovely, I thought I had booked a room which had stairs in however I was mot going to ask the gentleman that dealt with us when checking in so we left it. The restaurant staff seemed unorganised however could not be more friendly. I think the staff need more trianing in customer service and need to appear more organised. Compared to other hotels this was poor and it was a shame as we have wanted to stay here for a while.

Lovely place

Perfect perfect perfect ......

Really did love it ..... And loved that it was Sunday so a little quiet don't think we would have enjoyed so much if it was a Saturday. I huge thumbs up will be going back definitely.

Quirky heaven

Really enjoyed staying at this lovely quirky hotel - the room was a delight with its very comfortable round bed and brilliant shower.

The staff were charming.

Lovely accommodation,quirky and different.

The only small thing (and I'm being picky) is having stayed for 2 nights,we would have liked a variation on the 'breakfast to go' - which is nonetheless a great idea and very convenient for us.

A beautiful hotel in an excellent location with stunning rooms and gardens

What a great place to stay if you want to visit Chester.

The Staff are all extremely helpful and friendly, The rooms are amazing, the hotel itself is fantastic with quirky design and fabulous gardens and the location is great, just off the main shopping area. My wife brought me to celebrate my birthday and we had a very relaxing time. WE will definitely come again

First time visit for a birthday treat

Our welcome was fine upon arrival but when shown to our room, it wasn't explained how to access the corridors using a key fob attached to the room key.

It was easy when you knew how but was frustrating when stuck outside & unable to get back in. The room door wouldn't lock but this was quickly resolved when highlighted to the reception staff & wifi was un reachable throughout the whole stay. We were a ground floor room & with a very beautiful wet room, this however did have a slight smell from the drains each time the taps were used. The restaurant was faultless, service impressive & food was top quality, would certainly book in the restaurant again for a special occasion.

Finally when checking out we were offered a NCP car park ticket, but we had not parked in this location. That's a great offer but I didn't pick up that when searching for the nearest car parks on your website.
