Cramped and musty, staff were great though.
Room was quite small, and a bit musty smelling.
Bestowed was not big enough for a decent shower. We were given a choice of 2, both were not too big, and smelled similar. We chose a twin for additional space, but both had tiny showers unfortunately. Staff were all very nice, very helpful & accommodating. WiFi was also a decent connection in all places.
Excellent period and independent hotel , hidden away from the main square but with plenty of charm and character .
Free wifi and hot drinks. Excellent and helpful staff, a lovely garden to relax in and an excellent breakfast suiting all needs from continental to full on fry up . Just a short walk from the old town but far enough away for it to be a tranquil oasis from the hustle and bustle of Prague. Can't recommend this hotel enough .
We stayed for four nights at the Hastal.
The staff were really helpful and our room lovely. The location is perfect.
Traditional hotel in a central location, well placed for everything.
Very quiet. View was not great as we had a rear bedroom but this really did not detract from our stay. We found dried blood on the underblanket on a bed which was a shame as the rest of the hotel was clean and well maintained. We raised this at the time and it was dealt with satisfactorily. Breakfast could have been better with fresh juice rather than squash and only half of the toaster was working which led to a queue at breakfast. These are minor things really in such a well maintained and charming hotel. The receptionist was excellent and lovely and really made an effort. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel and would love to go back.
Short Stay in Prague
The hotel is a small family owned establishment that is a 10 min walk from the Old Town Square.
Staff were friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars close to the hotel and it is easy to walk to a number of tourist attractions in the centre of Prague.
Staff friendly and location excellent, free wine and tea/coffee a nice touch but hotel let itself down by poor quality breakfast.
From the Loon Fay the North
The hotel Hastel was perfect for location and price and all that you would hope for from a hotel.
The staff were helpful and informative and the recommendations regarding restaurants and things to do were, in the main, spot on.
However, only do the dinner cruise if you have absolutely nothing else to do. The breakfast at the hotel was all you could expect with hot and cold choices but some what limited as some mornings there was more on offer than other mornings.
The hotel web site has the restaurant at the hotel offering all sorts of things that are really appealing, but the fact is that the restaurant no longer exists. That is not of itself a problem as there is so much choice to get round this issue.
Management and staff including services provided.
Services provided by everyone associated with the Hotel were excellent - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is located in a quiet area with easy access to the old town, restarants etc. The Manager made every effort to ensure our stay was a success. We will return.
Comfortable and Convenient Hotel
Very good value for money hotel, close to all the sights and very convenient for the old square.
Room (no.11) was large, clean and airy. The walls were rather thin and you could hear people in the next room clearly, especially when they were in the bathroom. Apart from that it was a very comfortable stay. Would strongly recommend.

Perfect location as it is 5 mins from old town square.
