Reviews - Melia Madrid Princesa

PRINCESA 27, MADRID, 28008
This sophisticated deluxe hotel is in a superb area of Madrid near to the Plaza de España, the Palacio Real and the Plaza Mayor. An excursion to the picturesque towns of Toledo and El Escorial which are both some 60 km away comes highly recommended. The hotel was completely renovated in 2008. It has a spacious lobby, a conference room and a TV room. Guests can unwind in a lively in-house nightclub, a café and a cosy bar. Dining options include a pub and an air-conditioned restaurant. The rooms have modern and stylish decorations and include a king-size bed and a contemporary bathroom. The hotel has an abundance of leisure activities on offer for its guests, including an indoor swimming pool, well-equipped gym, a spa area and massages. A top-rate entertainment programme rounds off the selection superbly.

Good value for money in Central Madrid
Everything works and is there, it's a bit weird as a building, you keep getting lost in the endlessly turning corridors and doors. Decor is cool, definitely designed by a man though, not very practical, especially in the rooms. Breakfast was very good, and customer service too. The spa facilities are a bit old, especially the sauna, but adequate. Good location.

I was given a smoking room by error. I complained and they changed me immediately. Also, the window frame of the room was broken and the walls stained. There were cigarette burns on the table and bathroom. Not quite good enough standard for a supposed 5 stars.
Service was good and friendly. They helped me move rooms. Food was very expensive. Good location.
