Reviews - Dylan Hotel

52 East 41st Street , New York, NY 10017
The Eurostars Dylan Hotel, hotel in Manhattan, unites tradition and modernity exquisitely and with a contemporary elegance that captivates our guests. The building is very emblematic, first having been the residence of the Welsh writer, Dylan Thomas and later, the headquarters of the New York Pharmacists Club. The Eurostars Dylan Hotel combines the classical lounges and guest rooms of the period with ambiances and areas in contemporary design.

We are a non-stop hotel, because the Big Apple never stops. For this reason, the gym and the Business Centre are open 24 hours a day with free WiFi

Surrounded by excitement. Cradled in comfort. That's what a stay at the Dylan Hotel in New York City is all about. Located in the city's vibrant core in midtown Manhattan, the best of New York City is just outside our front door. We're only a short walk from Grand Central Station, New York's Jacob Javits Convention Center, Times Square, Central Park, Fifth Avenue Shopping and the great restaurants of Manhattan.

A good bet!
Very central, lovely staff who allowed me a late check out and the room whilst admittedly having a non view of some wheelie bins was large and comfortable.
A very good bet!

Broken elevator. Great location, but not worth original price.

highly recommended
The location of the hotel was superb for seeing all the sights. It was a relatively quiet street for such a centrally located building. The size of the room was bigger than I expected for a city centre hotel. It was nicely decorated, modern but still retaining the traditional features. I would certainly recommend it to others and may return there on my next trip.

Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy rollercoaster trip
The Dylan made for a perfect hotel and location in a storm. We got a room upgrade because we were just about the last to check in before the storm. This was great, but room 905 is opposite the linen closet, so when the cleaning staff did manage to get back to work, we were woken up by them. They couldn't do more than replenish the drinks and empty the bins for two days, but under the circumstances, this was not an issue. Its very near Grand Central and the Library. Two blocks further down and the lights were out! Our receptionist managed to give us details of how to get back to JFK, because gridlock meant nothing was moving. She did give us the best solution and what was bound to be a 4hour + journey by road, took 1 and a half by Subway, airtrain and bus.
