About the hotel
The BEST WESTERN Oaks Hotel & Leisure Club was once the private home of a wealthy local merchant and has been sympathetically restored preserving the grand feel of a bygone era. The lounge and reception area is dominated by a 25 foot high stained glass window which tells the story of Abraham Althams life and work in the Burnley area. Both the restaurant and bar are in the 'old house' with grand ornate ceilings and floor to ceiling windows creating instant theatre.
The hotel is set in mature grounds with views of Pendle Hill from the terrace.

Friendly staff and beautiful building.
The reception staff were very lovely howeve there were a couple of things worth highlighting.
Both myself and my partner didn't get much sleep as the pipes made a lot of noise every 20-30 seconds. This might be because the hotel is very old but it did put a downer on the stay. There wasn't anyone around to complain to until the morning.
Lovely hotel with lots of character
Hotel was lovely, clean and the staff were very helpful.
Only downside was there was no lift which I didn't realise until I got there with my pram. The kitchen staff were very helpful, carrying the pram up with me.
