Fabulous place to stay

Lovely hotel in a very good location.

The suite was lovely, clean and very spacious. Breakfast was excellent. Service in the champagne bar at lunch time could have been better but overall our stay was very good. Would definitely stay again.

Great venue, staff not so great, no food after 9pm

Stayed over in Liverpool to be with daughter on Father's Day.

Met a few friends and family in the bar which is spectacular but we were sitting near the folding doors onto the balcony and people kept opening them to go outside where it was very windy so we moved away to some tables which were labelled as reserved. We were on our last drink so we explained to the staff that we would be moving soon anyway but if the people who had resrved the tables came first we would move then - a bit snooty, will have to talk to my manager attitude. In the end the reserved signs were removed as the follks never turned up anyway,

Be aware, they don't serve any food in the restaurant after 9pm and there is no room service. We got short shrift from the restaurant staff when we approached for something light e.g. cheese and biscuits bang on 9pm. They didn't even offer an alternative, like, there is a Tesco a few doors up James Street if you are desperate for snacks. Bar doesn't serve snacks either. No room service. On the plus side, the room was spectacular, had it's own kitchen and massive bathroom. Décor and furniture very well though out and tasteful. All was clean but the windows were filthy however, but as the view out of them was of an empty office block obviously ripe for development, it didn't spoil the view but it did bring down the ambiance somewhat.
