About the hotel
Grosvenor Place is a warm and friendly Georgian Town house that has been lovingly restored to offer accommodation in a historic building but with all of the modern comforts, including complementary Wi-Fi. We are located in a cobbled side street, right in the heart of the City of Chester only a stone's throw from the racecourse and city walls. The shopping area is just 2 minutes walk away so are the many restaurants and bars.
A quality B&B offering a personal service, useful advice and local knowledge in a homely, relaxed atmosphere. We are accredited by quality & tourism and have been awarded a 3 star rating. The guest house has recently undergone a full redecoration and refurbishment which while being sensitive to the age and style of the building has a distinctly contemporary and boutique style. Our beds have deep comfy mattresses and we use only Egyptian cotton sheets. All our rooms are en suite. Breakfast is included in the price of the rooms. We offer a freshly cooked full English breakfast made from locally sourced produce. For those who prefer a lighter start to the day we have a range of alternatives on offer. Chester is a fantastic city steeped in history and culture. You can view and walk the City walls or visit Britain’s oldest amphitheatre or just pop next door to the Grosvenor Museum. Why not stroll along the River Dee or take a boat? Chester has a wealth of shops, boutiques and restaurants for you to explore. There are many events during the year, including regular race meetings, literary festivals and a bustling Christmas Market. If you wish to go a little further afield why not shop at the Designer Outlet Centre, visit Chester Zoo (England's largest) or take a trip to the stunning scenery on our doorstep in North Wales. For those who prefer cityscapes Liverpool and Manchester are just a short train ride away.

100% would recommend it to a friend
Overall we were very pleased with the hotel, the customer service was outstanding.
The hotel was very nice, a great value for money.. And it's literally a 2 minute walk into town.
Staff very friendly and welcoming.
The room could have been made a little more welcoming, eg, Curtains at the window instead of roller blind, wallpaper or pictures on the walls instead of just plain painted.
We were a little cold at times but simple maintenance like bleeding the radiators would have helped, also some banging / noisy water pipes when the taps were operated.
Overall - a very good central location, good value for money but would have liked the room to have been a little more homely / relaxing.
