My boyfriend and I were at an event in Brighton for the weekend and we left booking a hotel until the last minute so we found the Kelvin for £178 for two nights.
Wasn't sure what to expect when booking. The hotel is pretty much on Brighton Sea Front with a view of the Brighton Wheel at the end of the road. The hotel is around 20 mins walk from the station, 12-15 mins from the town centre and 2 mins from the pier/beach area. Room was smaller than expected but was really cosy, comfortable and clean. Breakfast options were good and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room had a shower and sink with a shared toilet on the lower floor all were clean. Shower temperature was a bit temperamental either freezing or boiling.
Staff quite friendly but service was lacking detail ie tea bags in room not replaced.
no t spoon. shower head broken and decor scruffy. room too small as a double, it is just as we'll we are not over weight.
