not worth the money
I paid £50 for a room that had damp and mould on the ceiling, curtains that didn't close properly, shower door didn't close properly, there was rubbish and clutter in the corridors and on stairs need I go on.
Then after my stay and reviewing the pictures I tried contacting the hotel via many ways social media and their personal email and got no response/reply which I think was very rude and unprofessional.
Got to the room and it hadn't been cleaned yet, had to sit there as it was done (once we'd had to ask reception!) No electricity in the room at the start.
Witnessed cups rinsed in the bathroom sink. They only changed one of the beds as the other 2 didn't look like they were slept in. Found other people's rubbish and post littered about, and hair everywhere. Had to request towels and toilet roll. Windows were so disgustingly filthy that standing outside you couldn't see in, which was a good thing as the curtains were hanging off of the pole anyway. There were holes in the window ledges and bathroom door. Shower leaked into the room below us. Glass doors were cracked and covered in tape
Signs were wrong to find your room, which you had to fight through dark corridors littered with bedding to find.
Lift was out of order. You have to leave your key at reception if you leave.. if there's nobody there you just put it on the desk until they are, which we refused to do. If you pay on card there's an additional charge. Generally seemed disorganised as took a long time to check in. The reception was nice.. probably because thats where you sit and give them money before you're thrown into the hell hole. Don't go round the back of the hotel, it's basically the bronx. WIFI is free but only on the ground floor, didn't reach the first floor where we were.
Parking is not free cost £5 a day. Please note this was a superior upgraded room. Wish we'd read the reviews before we booked!
We apologise for the lift being out of order on your arrival, unfortunately this matter could not be rectified by ourselves as we needed a qualified engineer to assess it to see what the problem was. This had a knock on effect with the rooms not being ready on time as they would normally be by 3pm as the house keeping staff had to use the stairs for all the cleaning lining etc to be brought up.
Some of our rooms need a card that slots into the light switch which is available at reception if the previous guest has accidently taken it out.
We ask all guests to leave their room key at reception only for their own safety for fire purposes so that we know who is in and out of the building, also there is someone on reception 24hrs.
We are also aware of the glass door with a crack in it which is why we have put noticeable table on as it was in the process of being replaced.
