*Beamish Museum Weekend Stay*
Stayed at the Moorings for two nights whilst attending/exhibiting at the Beamish Museum Transport Weekend.
Would highly recommend this hotel, staff were very friendly and attentive, the room was nicely decorated and clean and the bed very comfy (slept well). The Restaurant and Bar area were both full of character and cosy and 'the boys' gave the thumbs up for the local beer. The food was excellent with plenty of choice for both Breakfast and Evening Meal (well worth the wait, as it's made fresh to order) and served on hot plates. Will definitely stay there again.
After a day at the Beamish Museum
Within easy reach of the museum (5-10 mins drive) Warm & Friendly welcome - nothing was too much trouble.
The room was excellent - clean, nicely furnished, comfortable bed - (Would have liked to know in advance if the hot tub was useable!!)
Every member of staff we dealt with was customer focused and most helpful
The food was excellent quality - not cheap but worth it "for a treat"
The breakfast service and food was again an excellent standard - ours was included in the room rate - I would not have paid £12.50 per person though. A wonderful place to stay for anyone travelling in the area. If we are ever up in that part of the UK again we would not hesitate to stay again. After a great day at the museum a fitting end to make the trip completely satisfying.
