Lovely getaway for quick stay

On a trip through Scotland we had arranged our first stop at Loch Ness, we booked 2 double rooms at £55 each.

We arrived very late after losing daylight and having to go very carefully over the roads leading up to Foyer village, however the staff on arrival we're still very pleasant despite it being late. They asked if we wanted breakfast for the morning (Which we did) and showed us our rooms.

The facilities are communal, toilet and shower are shared among three rooms on the top floor (I imagine the lower floor has their own too) and there is on site car parking. Despite paying the same for 2 double rooms one was distinctly larger, however after a 9 hour drive this didn't change much. The beds were very comfortable and there was a bar downstairs, which we were told was open til 11 however didn't try.

In the morning the breakfast at £6.50 a head could have been better, however a breakfast bar of cereal was available and you could order anything from the menu for a set price, there was a café around the corner, next time we may see if that fairs a bit better. The service was good and the staff very chatty and interested in our trip, offering suggestions on sites to see.

All in all this was a decent rest stop, half decent meal, comfy beds and a roof over your head, at a very reasonable price.
