This hotel is not worth the money - for £92 a night we expected better.
The general appearance of public areas is one of scruffiness and lack of proper maintenance. The stairs had clearly not been cleaned for some time judging by the amount of dust and dirt. Our room was clean but smelt strongly of bleach and several light fittings didn't work. The double bed was possibly the creakiest we have slept on. At the price we paid we expected an en suite room, we had to share a shower and toilet with 4 other rooms. The condition of the shower was poor with broken shower head fittings and it was clear that the toilet and floor were not cleaned properly or regularly.
Overall we could not recommend this hotel on any level and would certainly never stay there again. We were required to pay on arrival and on checkout were unable to raise our concerns as after waiting for at least 5 minutes at reception, ringing the bell, no one appeared and we were told by the kitchen staff to just leave our key on the counter!
Ok hotel clean and tidy .
