A row of converted houses, the Wardonia looks smart on the outside, but the room was tired and slightly grim.
A basement room with a steep and tight staircase down to it, it was what I would expect from a hostel, not a hotel.
Appropriate for no frills stay
Very basic accommodation.
Room and bed small, however well presented and location is excellent for travel.
On my second night, guest above my room was noisy, woke me up several times and after the fourth time with a bounding headache at about 2am, rang reception for assistance and the response I got was that he couldn't do anything, there was no attempt to assist.
Ideally located for Eurostar
We used this hotel when returning from a trip on Eurostar.
We were delayed 3-4hours and didn't check in until 2.00am. The Hotel was about a 5 minute walk from St Pancras. The receptionist was very helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and although on the small side ideal for our one night stay. The area was very quiet and we had a good night's sleep.
Don't go here!!!
I chose this hotel for the location as it was near to where I needed to be and for the positive reviews which I now don't trust.
They tried to charge me again when I arrived saying I needed to pay for the room booked on Laterooms even though I had a booking reference. The room was on the 4th flour, no lift, though that was's clear at booking. The room was tiny, stuffy, the carpet was filthy and two electric appliances not working.
All in all a bad nights stay.
Clean, functional, but very small and stuffy
I stayed for one night in a single room, which was clean and had all of the usual amenities, but the room felt oppressively small and stuffy.
I guess I just felt it was a little overpriced for what it was.
Great central location - clean, well maintained and good value for money.
Not quite like the picture
We stayed in one of the basement rooms which was not made clear when we booked.
The picture on the website was lovely but our room was pretty dingy in comparison due to being underground. It also looked a lot smaller and the bathroom was not particularly nice compared to the picture. The room was very poorly insulated in terms of noise and we could hear people above us and walking along in the corridors all night long. neither of us slept very well. Customer service was very nice though and the location of this place is really great - just make sure you dont end up in a basement room!
The room was adequate, location very good.
This was a lovely room.
It was a very good size and the bathroom was great. The bed was the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. It was lovely and close to st Pancras too which was handy. I'd fully recommend it.
Good location, poor room
I don't often leave comments.
But I feel this hotel has a great location and the outside looks nice. The reception was tidy but the room felt very dated and the quality of accommodation was low. I understand the London market to be more expensive than elsewhere in the uk, but I think the wardonia hotel has good infrastructure but could do way better with an upgrade of its interior.
