Basic place to lay your head
This hotel is very basic but it is clear and the bed was comfortable.
It is a bit like a maze and it took a few minutes to reach our room.
The location is central and close to Elstree Studios which is where we wanted to be.

Basic, adequate accomodation
I was staying here while attending a training course nearby. Very easy to get to from the motorway. I had a single en-suite room which had all the bare necessities - ie: bed, small wardrobe to hang clothes, desk (no chair) with tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries, hairdryer, (and a TV though this is not a necessity for me).
The room was lovely and warm, and the water /shower hot, and there was no road noise (though the floorboards squeaked outside the room when anyone walked past! Staff that I saw were friendly.
The room could do with a bit of TLC - a bit 'tired', cracked tiles, but nothing that made a major difference for the time I was there.
The car park is quite small, although I think you can park on the side road for free - luckily there was one space left when I arrived and I didn't need to move the car again until I left - one reason I'd chosen the hotel was that I could walk to the training centre from there. No food is served but there are several eating places nearby, including a very good Turkish restaurant just across from the hotel, which also serves 'English' type food if you want it.

Budget single room
Everything about the room was OK but the bed had 2 mattresses making it feel weird. Although there were tea and coffee in the room there wasn't a kettle to use them with.

Good value for money
Recommended for short stays. Friendly reception, quiet area away from bustle but still close to essential amenities.

sleepless cold and draught room
I was very unhappy with the size of the room and the lack of warmth. Draughty and radiators were off when I arrived back from my evening out. Avoid disappointment and do not book in here.

Elstree Inn
A real dump. Would never stay there again - unless desperate.

Food
As you can see from Q6 I cannot review the food as the hotel did not cater for any meals at all. We went to Wetherspoons for our evening meal as it constituted the ground floor with the Elstree Hotel above it.
Perfick. Perfick. Perfick.

Very basic but clean
Downside was that we were unable to get a parking space in car park in the evening which meant having to park it in the streets nearby but had to move it before 8 am in the morning.

basic accommadation
Extremely helpful staff came in early so that we could check in before 9 am. Accommodation very basic could do with 're decorating but comfortable bed and quiet despite the location. Basic but what you expect for the price, good for overnight stay or business trip only. Food in the pub downstairs was excellent.
