This room was sold to us under false pretences
We booked this 4 Star Hotel for a special holiday to London to celebrate our 35 wedding anniversary. Reduced from £850/night with a complimentry bar and free afternoon cream tea it looked almost too good to be true. That is exactly how it turned out. Our double room was so small it was more like a box room than a double bedroom. The window looked out unto an enclosed yard which contained a number of air conditioning fans that made enough noise that we did not even get a nights sleep to escape the oppressive confines of this horrible little room. The bar area is little more than no more than a mini bar located in the hotel reception. I cannot imagine a more uninviting place to stop for a drink, complementy or otherwise. Needless to say we did not partake of the complimentry bar or the afternoon cream tea. The only redeeming feature about this hotel was that the room was at least clean and the hotel is in a good location. I feel very strongly that we were sold this room under false pretences. We will not be back and I am now very wary of using Laterooms again in case the information contained for other locations is equally misleading.
