Perfect if you are not in your room for long
I just needed a place to sleep as was not going to be in the room long.
This was perfect, nice views of London in the morning and easy to get to.
Good value basic accommodation in excellent location
Having never stayed in University accommodation before I did not know what to expect.
The location was excellent straight opposite Madame Tussauds. The reception staff in the main building were really helpful and friendly as were the staff in the cafe. Baker street tube is 2 minutes and comfortable walk to Oxford Street. The check in was straight forward. The room was small but had plenty of storage, loads of power points, small but adequate shower room, bed OK, only one pillow, internet but no TV which was not a problem for me. There was a large shared kitchen directly opposite my room, I think 6 rooms shared this. Kitchen equipment was basic but included fridge/freezer, microwave, cooker, few pots and pans and kitchen implements, but no knives and forks so maybe a good idea to take plastic ones. The cafeteria in the main building serves Costa Cofee and basic food and opened at 8.30 so I had breakfast there. Although there is a kettle and toaster in the Uni Halls, there is no coffee etc. provided so if you need this maybe a good idea to take it with you. The room itself was boiling as it faced the sun and you can only open the window about an inch but got cooler during the evening. I would not want to stay there in the summer if the room faced SW but was fine in September. Great view from the 11th floor. I would definitely stay there again if I wanted cheap compact basic accommodation but if you are looking for comfort/luxury maybe this would not suit you.
