Excellent value for money, excellent location
I recently stayed at the Mentone Hotel for the first time and would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants clean, pleasant, value-for-money accommodation in central London.
Everyone I spoke to, both on the phone and in person, was helpful and able to answer my questions. The reception is open from very early in the morning to late at night, which is very helpful.
Another advantage is that it's easy to get access to the building, even at night-time, and there are plenty of transport links nearby. I found the staircase that led up to my room a little tricky to go up and down, because the stairs were narrow, and so that's something to keep in mind if you have any problems with walking and mobility, but I think most people would know to expect that from a period property anyway. My room was comfortable and well-kept, with all the things you'd expect: comfy bed, en-suite, TV, kettle, hairdryer, etc. It was very nice and quiet. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel and have actually got another stay planned there.
The hotel is located close to Euston Station (5 minutes walk).
The staff are very friendly and the hotel room was very clean after being recently refurbished. We would definitely stay again when we are next in London.
