Convenient but costly
Conveniently close to where I was working and available at a special rate, otherwise too costly to make sense.
Free-flowing hollers and screams. Not an easy check in.
We could not find the entrance as some people were smoking in front of it so we thought it was a staff or back entrance.
We entered by the restaurant and was greeted by a very kind and helpful maitre d. She took our luggage and led us to the reception area. We could not check in as requested at 1pm though the other clients had. We were told it was due to our "category of room" not being ready. After waiting the 20mins they had said, we ended up having lunch at their restaurant as we were tired and hungry after our journey. The restaurant was extremely noisy partly due to the free-flowing Prosecco all the customers seemed to be having. It was exactly the opposite of how we had wanted to start our weekend. Our mini honeymoon started off as a mini horror. No one came to tell us if our room was ready or not. We went back to reception, forgoing desSert or coffee. On returning they had no idea who we were. We checked into our room after 3pm even more tired than before and deafened by the noise. The reception is too busy, the restaurant too noisy, the room was alright. We used the sauna which was lovely even if we came out to a 50th birthday party celebration!
