Awful - avoid
I have stayed at many hotels throughout the UK both budget and top end and I am fully aware that a London hotel for under £75 per night B&B for a couple is definitely budget, however, budget does not excuse laziness or poor cleanliness.
The carpets throughout the hotel were disgusting, cobwebs on our bedside table and the windows in the breakfast room (along with most of the ceiling). Tea cup marks on our bedside 'table', mis matching furniture, a mattress as thin as paper... all in all probably the worst hotel I have stayed in and I did not get a single minute sleep due to the uncomfortable bed. Then breakfast, ......., never have I been into a breakfast room to see cereal already poured and in bowls!?. it doesn't cost anything to keep it in an airtight container and let guests serve themselves - how long had it been sat there. How many people had stuck their fingers in it. Stale croissants, and coffee that was definitely from the value range in the local supermarket. I am certain there are other, nicer budget hotels (I know there are because I have stayed in them) in London. Avoid this place if you can at all help it.
The Mystery of the disappearing table!
Great guy on reception always having a smile on his face.
Room had nice facilities, drinks with biscuits, nice shower. Had a rather strange thing happen. After being out for most of the day i return to my room to see that the tall desk in my room had been replaced by a small table with a drawer on. I think someone had popped out to IKEA to get me a new desk. I also had the privilege to watch the police conduct a raid on a flat just down the road so that also good to see. The police playing an active role in looking after the place. Other than that it was a nice stay. Would recommend for a night or two.
