Slight disappointments

Very handy for central London ( close to Paddington Tube ) Staff VERY helpful.

Make sure when booking you dont end up across the road in another part of Alexandra Hotel. We were 3 floors up narrow twisty stairs across the road. Talked to desk clerk and got moved into main hotel on ground floor. Room decorating could be updated,(very 80's) bedding needs updating, large hole in quilt, bathroom grout needs cleaning. Plug missing from hand basin NOT a 3 star hotel. More likely a solid 2 star. Asked for double room but there was a single bed in there as well making it slightly cramped.
