short break for convenient access
Despite appearance from outside the accommodation was excellent with easy access to Oxford town centre .
ideal for car parking and uncomplicated rules for tourists who just require a place to stay ,eat and walk to the city. The staff were friendly ,helpful and accommodating .A short stay to recommend to couples of any age group...thank you
Quirky but efficient
This hotel is really a pub with rooms outside in its back yard.
Once I realised that, it was easier to adjust expectations. The atmosphere is more like self-catered apartments than an hotel but everything worked, the rooms were clean and functional, and the breakfast was freshly cooked to order like a good B&B. They coped well with a gluten free requirement. The room was cleaned while we were at breakfast (which rarely happens in a big hotel) with no fuss. The location is quite central and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby.
