Needs refurbishment
Stopped over for an early morning flight. location good. on entering room thought I was in the seventies all old furniture you could not give away in an auction. bathroom with mould toilet handle dropping off. the television having only 5 channels and one of them dodgy. went to reception they can boost channels from there, so must be a common experience. still did not work however. they advertise wifi. only if you are in the corridor. when we were leaving an irate elderly couple were complaining there taxi for airport was 25 minutes late, they were on the complimentary phone. the member of staff shrugged his shoulders so maybe not the best place if you don't have your own car. i travel frequently and use airport hotels. at this price the hotel will not be on my list to rebook

Hotel and facilitiwes feedback
I travelled to this hotel as I am looking to buy a property in the area and used it for a 2 night sgtay whilst I veiwed 25 properties sourced from the internet. I deliberately wanted a cheap accomodation but still maintain a little luxury. I would grade this as a 3 star hotel. The facilities were fine, the room basic but again was fine. It had an iron / board and trouser press in the room as well as a tea tray and kettle which was refilled daily. The TV was about 10 years old and picture was rubbish but I was only watching the news and so anyone wanting to view more than 15-30 mins would find this frustrating. The lounge has a wide screen TV with a good picture and so this is a backup. The hotel has wifi but it is very weak when away from the lounge / lobby area but nevertheless did work from my room but on a much slower basis. The food was fine although I only had breakfast each day as I was out very early and not back until early evening. I was having a hot meal whilst out and about and just brought a sandwich and nutty bar back to the room. There is a vending machine inb the hotel corridoor which sells crisps, sweets and softy drinks incl. water, although I did not use this. The bar is fine and stocks a good varied range of drinks and you can also get bar snacks from there also. There is a basic room service for meals with a very reasonable charge for this. There is an indoor pool area and gym/spa but i did not use the facilities but did see the enclosed pool from an adjacent corridoor. This maybe an excellent feature but I couldn't say and if I did use I may have upgraded / downgraded my overall opinions of the hotel. Overall I would recommend this hiotel for a short stay and the hotel is really an overnight stop for the leeds / bradford airport which is some 4 or 5 miles away and reached easily within 15mins as it has good road links. It is also fine for 1 or 2 nights but for a much longer holiday it maybe too basic for needs but then you get what you pay for and it is fine if you just want somewhere to stay and use as a base to travel out and about. I will stop here again myself which should speak volumes in itself. Hope this is helpful.

Pleasing
I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel. After reading some of the other reviews i was skeptical but went ahead as it was very last minute. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious although the TV's could do with coming into the 21st Century.
Having access to the Spindles Gym and Pool etc is a great as it helps to unwind from a busy day.

Britannia Hotel Leeds Bradford Airport
Staff very polite and helpful on arrival and leaving
Although the hotel is old it is very clean
Bedding and towels excellent
The only let down was the dining room
cold and draughty and food was barely warm soon turned cold before finishing
this needs to be addressed as breakfast was an extra

Not like the photos
At least it was somewhere to sleep. The food in the restaurant was like your mums cooking but ten times worse. The room was cold and a lick of paint would not hurt. I wouldn't pay the full rate as I feel it's more like a £40 per night hotel. If needs must you would stay. Check local Premier Inn first. Better room and it a TGI Fridays.

Britannia Hotel Leeds Bradford Airport
Visited on a one night stay having stayed before at least 10 years earlier when a Holiday Inn - whilst it was cheap, room was ok except for a minute bathroom, clearly caters mainly for coach parties in view of the Restaurant signage, poor quality tasteless food from the 1980s with very little choice in the restaurant. Shame other guests seem to have been forgotten and, whilst the staff are helpful and friendly, disappointed at the drop in standards of this once good quality hotel. I guess you get what you pay for but would rather have the option to pay more for better product.

Solid and reliable and consistent.
Small but clean rooms, a very busy hotel. Great if you eat elsewhere: hardly any staff - so the hotel is obviously run for cash.
